Human beings, existing in this dynamic world and being influenced by political, social, economic, environmental, biological, philosophical, and educational pressures, have about as much control over the destiny of their lives as a man, jumping over the edge of the Grand Canyon and being influenced by gravity, wind, and the jagged, rocky canyon wall has control over his timely and fatal landing point; for just as assuredly as human beings can control the destiny of their lives, to a degree, by using their mental power, will power, ambition, education, and hard work, so too can the jumper control his timely and fatal landing point, to a degree, by flapping his arms, kicking his feet, twisting his body, and wiggling with all his might.
